Bubba’s Buddies

CROSS CREEK

A private members’ club. By invitation only.

Established 2026 · Green Cove Springs, Florida

What this is

Bubba is a good dog. He has it easy.

Plenty of dogs in this county don’t.

So: a small club of friends, family and neighbors who like each other’s company and like dogs. We gather on football Sundays. We eat well. We raise money for the Clay County Humane Society and The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs, and hand it over once a year.

That’s the whole idea.

How it works

Members and their guests. Nothing else complicated.

One member, one vote — on the organizations we support, and on anything else that matters. BYOB. Bring a guest; the member who brings them covers the guest contribution.

Dues cover the food, the fire and the paper plates. Whatever’s left at the end of the season goes where the members vote. We show the membership the numbers. All of them.

Where the money goes

Two organizations, both in Clay County.

Clay County Humane Society

A private nonprofit established in 1978, providing low-cost veterinary services and adoptions in Orange Park.

The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs

Serving Clay County since 1989. Entirely volunteer-run, with no paid staff. A ministry of twenty-six Clay County churches.

Plainly stated

What we are, and what we are not.

Bubba’s Buddies Cross Creek, Inc. is a Florida nonprofit corporation operating as a social club under Section 501(c)(7) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is a private members’ club, in the tradition of a lodge or a post, at a much smaller scale.

Members pay dues. Members do not hold any interest in the corporation, cannot receive money back, and receive nothing if the club dissolves. Dues and other payments to the club are not charitable contributions and carry no tax benefit.
